NEW YORK, FEBRUARY 20, 1963 - National Lead Company has announced the appointments of Kenneth C. Specht as assistant manager for sales of paints, varnishes and related products, and Henry J. Whitson as assistant manager for sales of pigments, chemicals and oils.
Mr. Specht Joined the office staff of the Southern Divi sion, Pacific Coast Branch at Los Angeles in 1935 and a year later was named assistant purchasing agent. In 1939 he became a salesman for industrial finishes and in 1944 manager of the industrial sales department. He was appointed assistant manager of the Southern Division of the Pacific Coast Branch in 194? and manager in 1948. Mr. Specht was transferred to New York in 1950 and the following year was named manager of trade sales for the company. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Whitson was first employed by the Atlantic Branch, National Lead Company in 1932 at New York as a salesman for lead pigments and oxides. In 1940 he was appointed assistant sales manager of dry pigments, Atlantic Branch. He became assistant to the company's sales manager, paints, pigments and chemicals in 1948. Mr. Whitson received his B.S. degree from Princeton University.
