Actually, we had hoped to be able to obtain published copies of the Abstracts from the Food and Drug Administration, but, unfortunately, FDA did not have enough extra copies available after making its own distribution to all of the registrants who attended the Conference. We were able to get per mission from FDA to reproduce the Abstracts which will explain why we are sending you the Xeroxed copies. We hope that those of you who were unable to attend the Conference will find it interesting to review the Abstracts. For those of you who have neither the time nor the inclination to purchase copies of the entire transcript and go over the more than three hundred pages therein, the Abstracts should provide a general idea of the basic positions taken by FDA and industry representatives who participated. I am sure that the Conference and subse quent reactions on the part of FDA will be a topic of much discussion at our forthcoming meeting in ASI-PR 0000544 2 New York on April 17.
