Specification
j316P3-Khit.e.. Lead-in-Oil., Paint
RGL-31603, White Lead-in-oil paint, was developed to compete with Hancock Paint and "Scotch Laddie" lead paint products# which are selling very well in the New England states* Topical anaylsis of these products is 85# white lead - 15# Titanium Dioxide in a ve hicle of 80# Linseed Oil and 20# volatiles* We have received an initial order for 1,000 gallons from our New England District*

Lewis zShepard... Q pmpany---------
RGL-31565, Orange Fast Dry Flat Enamel is a styrenated alkyd product drying dust-free in 4 minutes and to handle in 10-15 minutes It is used direct to metal, requiring no primer, on fork-lift trucks*
White Silicone*Marine Enamel (silicone alkyd) vs* White Japalac
.(straight, alkyd).I
Y-4100 initial 60 gloss - 85 at 500 hours - 70 at 800 hours 45 at 1100 hours - 28
Y-1217 initial 60 gloss - 89 at 500 hours - 19 at 800 hours 10 at 1100 hours - 8
Blend initial 60 gloss - 81 at 500 hours " 18 at 800 hours 10 at 1100 hours - 8
We can conclude from this that it is impractical to cut down on sili cone alkyd content, in this type formulation, from that in Y-4100 anc still expect good gloss retention, thus indicating per cent silicone alkyd in Y-4100 is a good guide for future formulations Dirt pick up is also increased with silicone reduction*
