BASIS OF CALCULATING HEAT LOSSES
Previously, the Committee has agreed to the following pertaining to cal culating heat losses:
1* Heat loss calculations should be based on an 80 F still air ambient temperature*
2* z outside radius of steel pipe according to standard pipe manufacturer^ table,
3, r8 -_rj s4 x; where x is the insulation thickness as taken from MIL-I-2781C (Insulation Pipe Covering, Thermal),
( Following discussion the Committee agreed that the heat loss curve that appears in the ASH RAE "Guide and Data Book" for 8 inch round pipe shall be used as a basis for determining the average surface resistances
