Currently, no asbestos containing products are being used in
the manufacture of motors, generators, Magnetorque clutches and
brakes.

Prior to its phase-out, some 6-8 years ago, asbestos was in use in a number of forms, e.g. AVC cable P&H #218 Asbestos varnished cambrie), rotor connection endcaps made from asbestos woven cloth, part #75H359, flexible and impregnated sheet, material used as ground insulation or for disposable lining of baking ovens (P&H #869) ,. epoxy resin containing asbestos fibers (P&H 1436) and others. Copies of drawing 75H359 and a 1972 "Approved Vendors List" are attached.
