Goodrich Company* The most recent blood and urine deter minations of the lead strippers are not back yet, however I did discuss with . Mr. some his findings and several of the urine reports on tnese men. He apparently has not cose op with anything which would give os a clue as to the source of the lead hazard. . In an attempt to further solve the problem the following has been done: Blood and urine lead determinations will be made within the next 2ii hours on five foremen who work in varying areas of the plant* None of these men are con nected with the lead operation, several have worked in lead In years past, - but several have never worked in the area* One Is In the large braider hose ;. ~ area, another in the.saall braider hose area, one la the teflon area, one la shipping, and one in the inspection department. It is hoped that this will help us In that we d m show that there la no source of lead contamination In areas of the plant other than in the lead press area* In addition to this, Water samples are being taken of the drinking water and the shower water. These will be forwarded to the hygiene department to be analyzed* I realize that the water source as a possible source of lead is unlikely, however aincm we have been unable to show any other Increased hasard, all possibilities will have to be considered* Obviously the men in the area are being watched closely and carefully and measures will be taken . to remove any of them from the work areas whose blood and brine elevations go 'above normal.
