We cannot speak for the compounding additives and suggest you contact your suppliers in this regard. Union Carbide has no reason to believe that there is a cancer hasard associated with the PYC it sells. However, this possibility is a recent development and the situation is still under Intensive investigation by Union Carbide and others. The examination of your blending operators would be a prudent step. NIOSH has made certain recommendations to OSHA regarding examinations of persons exposed to VCM in the production of PVC.
