Dave has advised the attorney of record that we/ as the employer/ will not honor any medical expenses related to the lymph node condition. His decision is supported by Dr. McNam/ the attending physician/ who does indicate there is no relationship between the two. It is understood that Dave Smith will follow up,with Dr. McNam to determine if this lymph node condition is in any way affecting his current disability related to the stroke. If so, he will try to determine what portion is due to the stroke and what portion is due to the lymph node condition. I advised Dave that I will follow up with Jerry Owen of SIS to schedule an independent medical evaluation to determine the claimant's current extent of disability.
