Dear Dr. Winslow:
I enclose letter from Mr. Hansen, President, Industrial Silica

Corporation, Chicago, in the second paragraph of which he says
he has been to Washington to consult the Surgeon General and
that he had received "assurances of the willingness of the De
partment to accord the mineral abrasive manufacturers a hear
ing."
We sent Mr. Hansen on Friday six copies of the mimeographed second revision of the report of "The Committee on Health Pro tection in Air Pressure Cleaning."
Have you been approached by the United States Health Depart ment to invite the silica manufacturers to participate in your Committee activities?
