EPA is modifying the final designation for a portion of Citrus County, Florida from Unclassifiable to Attainment/Unclassifiable for the health-based national air quality for SO2 (set in 2010) based on EPA's review of 2017 air quality data submitted by Florida. This designation affects the part of Citrus County surrounding the Crystal River Power Plant. All of Citrus County is designated Attainment/Unclassifiable. This modification takes effect on April 9, 2018. Please see the PDF copy of the letter sent to Governor Scott today. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
