Dear Leo:
Thanks very.much for your letter of October 20. I was aware of the lead study being contracted by the National Bureau of Standards; however, the final report is not yet available so I have not had a chance to study it. It should be in hand shortly. My understanding is that this study was originally undertaken because there were very few lead poisoning cases in children in Pitts burgh which seemed unusual. One reason for the study was to determine if there was anything unusual about Pittsburgh. Now apparently the study has uncovered some other correlations, the validity of which we can only test when the report is available for study.
It was good to hear from you and I do agree that it has been too long since we have been together and I hope our paths will cross again soon.
Best regards.
