Watson Calvsrt City August 14, 1967 A team of industrial hygienists and inspectors from the Kentucky State Department of Health visited the plant today. Their names mere: Mr. Ray Dunn - Industrial Hygienist, Diet. Office - Paducah, Kentucky Mr. Eugene Wood - Industrial Hygienist, Frankfort, Kentucky Mr. Buell Edwards - Inspector - Paducah, Kentucky Their prime interest was in the PVC Operations. They were aware of the hand x-ray program and interested in whet alternate methods we were considering using to clean reactors. I informed them that we were cooperating with the ICA and the University of Michigan in a statistical study and x-ray proj-ram in an sffort to find out, if possible, what seems to be the cause of this phenomenon and that ve had planned no changes until ws knsv some answers. Our plant was completely down, this being the one day in the year that all power is off. However, they wanted to visit the plant in this condition and also want to return when it is operating. I expect them to return next week. R. T. Lund dropped in while they were visiting. He has been coordinating the x--ray program for the Division. He infomed me that ve were expecting a visit from the U. of Michigan team, Septvaber 11. He has asked J. Barr to shew them through the PVC ares end answer their questions.
