The most interesting fact presented was the trend of labor to take over in safety. The movement started on the West coast and is moving Eastward. If proper programs are not in effect, labor is willing to take over. Product liability was also discussed in relation to the large law suits for improper warnings against hazards on products produced. Most of those attending were directly in safety and had various titles, such as Safety Supervisor, Safety Coordinator, Safety Engineer, etc. The best part of the program was conducted by a gentleman by the name of Paul Colson. His presentation of human behavior and safety in conjunction with communication was the most out standing presentation I have ever heaTd. It would be my feeling that our needs are different than most of those in attendance at these sessions. Should it be possible to have sessions directed more to our particular needs, 1 would recommend we send more people; otherwise, I feel we should not send anyone else to Boston to this type of session.
