Dr. R. A. Kehoe . University of Cincinnati The Kettering Laboratory College of Medicine-Eden Avenue Cincinnati 19, Ohio Dear Bob:
Thank you for your report on the potential hazard associated with the introduction of tetramethyllead which I was very glad to receive since it terminates a job well done on the West Coast and in your laboratory. I believe this report played an important role in having the Surgeon General acquiesce to the use of TMLand its derivatives at concentrations equivalent to k cc's of TEL on a metallic lead basis. '
Regarding additional copies, I would be very happy to have you send one each to Dr. Rankin, Dr. Gerlach and Don Fowler of the Lead Industries Association.
Sincerely,
JRS/pvh
