Hr, Beall, Asst, Suet, reported that the Sohutfce-Foorting oduotor which we recently installed on the end of the swing line in t -eir w blending tank has proven very satidfaotory in that it has cut their circulating time in half and they are now experimenting to see iust how inch more they can decrease the circulating t&mei A check of their 194 Mixing and Inventory Statements showed that this refinery received 8 small cars of fluid during 1941 and used 321,415 pounds of fluid, Their present inventory is 43,000 pounds and this is expected to last for six weeks# Spoony - Vacuum (H,D,Div,) Casper, Hyo# A check of the 1941 Mixing and Inventory Statements at this refinery disclosed that during 1941 this refinory received 3 small oya of fluid and used 140,305 pounds of fluid, Their present inventory is 31,755 pounds and it is anticipated that this will last about three months, Ohio Oil Do,, Casper, Myo, I contacted this office regarding the status of the proposed blending plant at their Lovell, Hyo. refinery, I learned that Mr# George Sowards, Chief engineer had been transferred to their Main Office at Findlay,Ohio, At present there is no one in this office who knows .just '/feat the status is and it may bo advisable that this subject* be discussed by a representative from our Dayton Division the next time the Findlay Lain Offico is contacted. After the water had dried on fcho bottom places it was noted that a small amount of rust still adhere, to the plates. A small portion of a dried plate/ v/as brushed vigorously with a stiff wire brash and a sample of tha rust was obtained and analyzed. The analysis disclosed the presence of lead. The analysis was qualitative and not quantitive. Since the analysis disclosed the presence of load I recommended that the entire bottom bo wire brushed again until no further material could be removed. This work will bo done the first part of next week, weather permitting. Several timesthia week work had to be abandoned on this tank duo to freezing conditions. After Tank ho. 98 is completely cleaned and ready to be turned over to bhe contractor for dismantling. Tank lio. 97 will be cleaned for the some purpose. ITo Tonkcloaning .loport is being rendered on Tank ho. 98 as the -work is not yot completed.
