SUBJECT: Three Year Plant Insulation Upgrade Program
Insulation included in this program should qualify under one or more of the following criteria:
1. Insulation and/or equipment is obsolete or abandoned.
2. Insulation is of environmental concern.
3. Insulation is in serious need of repair or replacement.
4. Insulation is asbestos that is in an area of high mechanical disturbance.
Job scheduling will have to give consideration to weather, equipment availability and job grouping for contractual purposes. Tentative schedules for first, second and third years are attached. Some jobs from first year will most assuredly have to be slipped into second year etc. This contractor will possibly be used on demolition projects.
All asbestos insulation in the area of work will be labeled if it is not removed. This is to be done in such a manner that all remaining asbestos in the plant will be labeled by the end of this program.
