A dozen or so blocks, depending upon the length of lumber, are then placed end to end. Perf-A-Tape cement can be applied using either a locally made spreader or the Ames appli cator if such a tool is being used on the job. In the event attachment to the floor is impractical, or a higher working platform is desired, the jig can take the form of a table. Attach the 2x4's to a bed of scrap lumber, supported at wanted height by legs, spaced to afford satisfactory rigidity to the work ing bed. If the legs are hinged to permit folding flush with sides, the jig becomes easily portable from room to room and job to job.
