They have found that most of the manufacturers are able to provide information showing the fiber type and percentage. This study also revealed that the North American Asbestos Corporation used a considerable amount of croeidolite fibers in many of their products.
*\ The respiratory protection specified by X. E. Xeuper in his memorandum on dust oontrol dated April 5, 1968, is capable of filtering out particles down to a sise of three microns. The specified respiratory is a modeled Dustfoe "77 wl'i'H filter No. BN 21 B-97 manufactured by the Nine Safety Appliance Company.
The Construction Division plans to initiate the monitoring of dust at 21 construction sites within the nest month. These sites will include Beaumont, Victoria, end Houston. Xn the event anyone wishes to observe sampling at Beaumont, Nr. Xeuper would appreciate being contacted prior to the visitation as.personnel at the site have been trained only in sampling and do not have a good background to discuss the program.
