Wheeler, Jr. Dear Mr. Hollingshead: The report, Polyvinyl Chloride - Vinyl Chloride Monomer, Literature Survey and Engineering Opinions, I sub mitted to you earlier contains an error on pages 23-24 of the section relating to Vinyl Chloride Toxicology. The original report contained the sentences: "From this tabulation of angiosarcoma cases, it is evident that it could not have been concluded prior to 1974 that there was an excess of angiosarcoma cases in the industry. Approximately ten cases of angiosarcoma are diagnosed each year in the United States from all causes." These sentences should be changed to read as follows: "From this tabulation of angiosarcoma cases, it is evident that it could not have been concluded prior to 1974 that there was an excess of angiosarcoma cases in the industry. The number of cases diagnosed in the United States each year from all causes is estimated to be 26."
