Dear Sir: The question of medical control of lead workers has arisen again and we would appreciate your opinion concerning the safe limits of lead absorption, as determined by urinary lead, blood lead, basophilic stippling, or coproporphyrin excretion, for routine movement of workmen from a lead hazard area. 1 We would also appreciate an outline of a medical program suitable for lead workers. We are particularly interested in the frequency of examination, allowable limits of absorptions and rota tion period of workmen from a lead hazard area to a non-hazard area.
