Thanks. We will have the room prepared with a flip chart and markers.
The meeting is scheduled from 3 pm to 4:30 pm.
An invitation that I could distribute would be helpful.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for the email. I am excited to participate in your annual convention at 3 p.m. on August 14. At this point I will be only EPA staff attending and we should assume that Regional Administrator Benevento will not be able to attend and if that changes we will inform you right away.
The only AV I need for the smart sectors discussion is a flip chart and markers. How much time do I have with your folks?
Do you need me to send invitation copy to distribute to your members?
Thanks,

Patrick,
We are looking forward to the Mining Smart Sectors meeting at 3 pm on August 14 as part of our annual convention.
Do you have a list of EPA staff that will be attending? Will Administrator Benevento be attending?
Also, will you have a PowerPoint presentation or other AV needs?
Thanks,
Mark

Patrick,
90 minutes works for us. I would expect to have at least 20 industry environmental professionals in attendance, but I will know the precise number as we get closer to the date.
We try to time our short courses/workshops on Tuesday afternoon to end just before the convention's Welcome Reception that evening in our Exhibit Hall. The Welcome

Reception begins at 5 pm, so I would like to schedule this roundtable discussion for 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm if that works for you.
Everyone is welcome to stay and attend as much of our convention activities as their schedule allows. Following the Welcome Reception Tuesday evening, we will have the main day of our convention on Wednesday, August 15, beginning at 9 am and ending with an outdoor Closing Reception at 5 pm.
When you can, please send me the names of the EPA staff that will be coming so we can have their registration completed in advance.
If Administrator Benevento is coming, I also would like to invite him to address the convention attendees during our August 15 general session. There would be approximately 200 in attendance on that day.
For your information, we have a block of discounted rooms reserved at the Zermatt Resort for $139/night. Reservation can be made at this link.
Regards,
Mark

Patrick,
Ijust wanted to follow up with you regarding the stakeholder dialogue with EPA will tentatively set for August 14.
Our 103rd Annual Convention agenda is close to being finalized, and I have this gathering penciled in for the afternoon of Tuesday, August 14. As a reminder, our annual convention is being held August 14-16 at the Zermatt Resort in Midway, UT.
The afternoon of August 14 is a perfect opportunity to bring environmental professionals from the mining industry together with EPA staff to have a conversation.
I hope this date still works for EPA staff. I look forward to hearing back from you and working together to facilitate a productive meeting.
Regards, Mark

Patrick, I apologize for the delayed response to your email. We just conducted our annual Safety Conference yesterday, and I was busy preparing for it. The Utah Mining Association would be pleased to participate in the type of forum you outlined. In answer to your questions:
I am the appropriate UMA staff contact to coordinate our participation.
Our membership will be gathering in August for our Annual Convention. The convention runs August 14-16, but the afternoon of Tuesday, August 14 would be the prime opportunity.
Participants should include the environmental professionals for our member companies. Our Environment Committee is made up of said professionals, and the committee typically plans a "short course" on Tuesday afternoon of our Annual Convention week. We could plan that this year around your forum and hold it on August 14.
Thanks for reaching out. I look forward to continuing the discussion. Regards, Mark
