from Washington downtown and Reagan National Airport, anticipate two hours and ten minutes. Private vehicle is the only practical means to reach the location. Within Skyland, all facilities are walkable. Travel on Skyline Drive will be heavy on the weekend, and the road is highly scenic but narrow and with lots of curves and distracted drivers.
Attire:
We are meeting in a national park. Attire that allows outside enjoyment is appropriate. Khakis/jeans and logoed collared shirts would be fine because of elevation, layered attire is appropriate - and bring raingear/umbrella, sunglasses (and cameras and binocs). Shoes for significant walking are needed. No suits.
Displays:
Displays of selected recreation equipment will be set up nearby the conference room. All equipment being brought into the park should be coordinated through Chris Bornemann at RVIA: C: 609-947-3444 and cbornemann@rvia.orq Handouts at the meeting are invited but should tie to ORIR key themes, including the economic impact of our sector.
Preparation Sessions: Those involved in meeting set-up are asked to be on site by 4 PM on Sunday afternoon. We will test and arrange all AV needs at that time and organize displays. Those involved with presentations are invited to participate in a dinner at the 6:30 PM in the Pollock Dining Room on April 23 for introductions and last minute updates.
Questions: For additional information, call/email Derrick Crandall at (202) 682-9530 or dcrandall@funoutdoors.com or Nicole Reynolds at 540-395-5068 and NReynold@delawarenorth.com.
