Iowa DNR Director Chuck Gipp is meeting with EPA officials in Kansas City next week. One of the topics they will be discussing is Iowa's anti degradation rules. EPA requested that specific discussion topic. The Director has requested that I provide him an update on my discussions prior to his meeting. I have been attempting for the past couple of weeks to obtain such an update. At this point, I will inform Director Gipp that there has been no substantive communication from EPA to me since October 19th and that no such communication will be forthcoming.

Tate-1 know we've talked about this issue more times that I can count, but I ju st wanted to touch back on this before our boss's see each other tomorrow.
Jon Tack had a productive call with the EPA on Oct. 19 regarding the antidegradation issue, but has not heard from them since then. Can you check on the status from your end?
