We plan to review and update in 4Q 1982. 1. Production personnel in TEFLON Polymers and Copolymers, including supervision, will be sampled once per year during normal physical*. 2. New permanent Production wage roll employees in TEFLON Polymers and Copolymers will be sampled as soon as possible upon entering the job and at IQ, 2Q, and 12 months, then annually during physical*. 3. Maintenance personnel assigned to TEFLON Polymers and Copolymers, including supervision, will be sampled upon entering the job and annually during physical*. 4. Technical laboratorians and supervision assigned to TEFLON Polymers and Copolymers Laboratory will be sampled upon entering the job and annually during physical*. 5. Technical laboratorians and supervision assigned to Fluoropolymers Research will be sampled upon entering the job and annually during physical*. 6. Technical personnel, including supervision, assigned to TEFLON Polymers and Copolymers Technical will be sampled upon entering the job and annually during physical*. 7. Individuals who have been a part of the blood sampling program and then vacate jobs in TEFLON Production, Maintenance, Technical, and Research and Technical Laboratories will be sampled annually until organic fluorine (measured as C-8) in blood levels are below a level of concern yet to be specified. Women who have left TEFLON Polymers and Copolymers or who were sampled in April and May of 1981 will be resampled in 6 months and annually during physical*. 9. Selected individuals who have resigned, retired, or transferred off Plant will be sampled annually. 10. Individuals with 0-8 related health concerns will be sampled and then resampled as appropriate. Temporary TEFLON employees such as summer students, loanees, laboratory trainees, and mechanics in training will not be sampled at this time as we believe they do not have significant exposure. Sampling of this group will be considered if appropriate after the data from permanent employees are evaluated. * Employees having biannual physicals will be called in on anniversary of physical.
