SKIN ABSORPTION LD50 - FEMALE RATS
raf Procedure; Two group* of ChR-CD^female rats, 5
per group, were clipped free
of hair over che back and trunk area. The cesc material, aa a 50/50 aqueous
suspension was applied to the bafk of each rat under a aquare of aluminum foil and
held to place with 3" ElastoplastO. After 24 hours exposure the racs were
unwrapped, sponged off with a aild detergent, rinsed, dried and returned co cages for 14 day observation or uncil| death* Surviving rats were sacrificed.

Mild skin irritation, stained face, wet and stained perineal area and initial weight loss. Death occurred 3 days after ereatment.
5,000 mg/kg Mild skin irritation and inceraiceenc weight loss.
Summary: Occanoic Acid, pencadecafluoro-, aaaoniua salt: is slighi.ly coxic in
female raca by skin absorption, its LD50 is greater than 7,500 mg/kg, che maximum
feasible dose.
All racs. dosed at 7,500 and 3,000 mg/kg had mild skin irricacion and inicial
weight loss.
