C harles R . K ook, president of the N ational A ssociation of M anufac tu rers, reported the appointm ent of a nation-w ide com m ittee on health ful w orking conditions. S tandards approved by such agencies as the A m erican College of Surgeons, th e N ational B ureau of Standards and th e N atio n al S a fe ty Council will help guide the w ork of th e com m ittee. " One of the prim e objectives of this new com m ittee," he declared, " will be to m ake available to the sm all and m edium -sized m anufactu ie r the benefit of the experience and study of others in this im por ta n t field."
