3M Identification of Fluorochemicals in Human Tissue
`The objeetiveofthis study is to determine the concentration ratios, in humans, ofliver to serum, liver to bile and bile to serum for perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS). An
application for securing liver, gallbaldder, bile and serum from donors was approved by
the International Institute for the Advancementof Medicine (TAM). IAM is a non-
profit organization whose purpose is to faciliate the placementofnon-transplantable
`human organs and tissuesfor biomedical research and education. All tissues are procured `with the informed consentofthe donor or the donor's nextofkin, in accordance with the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act. Donors may be from anywhere in the United States and
Canada. It is estimated to take approximately | year to secure tissues from 12 donors. A
final report should be available by March 1, 2001
