1. Section S (0 (8) of the Pennsylvania Air Pollution Control Act* the Act of January I, 1980, P. L. 2119 ti amended, provide* that "the Commiaslon ehali have the power and it* duty ehall be to establish and publiah maximum quantities of air con* taminanta that may be permitted under various conditions at the point of use from any air contaminant source In various areas of the Commonwealth so a* to control air pollution, *
2. On July 28, 1984 the Commission appointed a Council of Technical Advisors on Ambient Air Quality Criteria, Oa November 14, 1988 the Council submitted the attached proposed criteria to the Commission and the Commission accepted the criteria "for purposes of public hearing."

in the Auditorium of the William Penn Museum Building,
