Being mindful of your remarks to me on this matter, it has occurred to me that I should tell you about this and refer also to our work on the subject. It is a source of considerable personal and professional embarrassment to me that 1 was u?ver able to find time to prepare a full - report to the eastern group with whom we consulted on this problem.j"I am, also very sorry that we dropped out of the picture, and that their further actions went somewhat astray (or so it seems). / I wonder if there is any possibility of salvaging something out of this situation, or of participating in any way (formally or not) in the further consideration of this matter.
