KHD/AW 21st June 1983 MR. H.D.S. HAROIE ALICE FILM You will be interested to know that during my visit to Swaziland last week I was able to prevail on Mr. Bill Mummery, who heads up the Swazi TV Company, not to show the Alice film. He had viewed a copy after attending an international conference on TV progranrnes available for sale. Fortunately, he approached Mr. Hodgkinson for advice on the matter last week and the latter was quickly able to arrange a meeting with me. After a full discussion, he agreed that it would not be a responsible act to show it in Swaziland. It would do no conceivable good and would be highly likely to do a great deal of harm. In so far as it would not only be an embarrassment to HAM(S) but also-to^ the Government, there would almost certainly be a backlash on the Company. v I was given a firm assurance that it would not be shown.
