Uaibestos Employees Thank you for your letter of October 28. I subsisted my original reports with a duplicate to*Mr. C. E. Van Horn on Friday, October 15. Hr. Van Horn requested that I see two employees of the plant who represented their union and he brought then with his for a brief conference when 1 delivered bin the reports. It was ay understanding that he would send the original to you and keep a copy for the employees at she plant. The most significant findings were: (a) A bronchogenic earcinoas was found in John Wedlock who had been employed at the Pittsburgh Corning Plant for less than two yeara. ?* t Cb) Thera was a finding of pleural opacification in the lower one-third of the left chase on Harold 5pencer. This employee has been seen in consultation by a* thoracic surgeon who has recommended diagnos tic studies end possible decortication but this has not been done* *\V& df"'* Several employees had changes consistent vith chronic obstructive ^P*1 ^^b^^/lung disease with mild to noderate obstructive ventilatory defect. x / (d) Approximately three eaployees bed changes consistent with mild f jC fibrosis.
