PERSONNEL CHANGES IN TITANIUM DIVISION James J. MacGuffie has been appointed assistant manager of the Titanium Division and elected vice-president of Titanium Pigment Corporation. W. H. Woods has been elected vice-president of Titanium Pigment Corporation and continues as division general sales manager. Fred B. Stieg, Jr., has been made manager. Technical Service Depart ment of the division. Mr. MacGuffie joined the Company in 1934 as a chemist at the Sayreville, New Jersey plant of the Titanium Division and in 1935 was transferred to the Technical Department as a research chemist. In 19^1 he was named assistant manager of the paint development laboratories at Hudson Street, New York City. In 1950 be became manager of the Technical Service Department at 111 Broadway, New York City. He is a member of American Chemical Society. Mr. Woods began his National Lead Company career in 1930 with the Atlantic Branch. Transferred to the Titanium Division in 1937 as assistant credit manager, he became credit manager in 1940. He was named eastern sales manager at New York in 1948 and western sales manager in 1950, with headquarters at Chicago. He returned to the New York office in 1955 as general sales manager. Mr. Stieg was first employed by the Company in 1937 as a chemist at the Titanium Division's Technical Service Department. In 1945 he was transferred to Los Angeles, California and spent three years as sales representative on the Pacific Coast, He returned to New York in 1948 as assistant manager of the Technical Department at Hudston Street where in 1950 he was named manager. Mr. Stieg is a member of American Society for Testing and Materials, American Chemical Society and New York Society for Paint Technology.
