The temperature under these conditions is probably in the 1200-1300? range. I recommend that disposal temperatures exceed 1 6 0 0 P and preferably be around 2000F to assure complete destruction of the hydro* carbons. We are actively seeking answers to PCB disposal problems and at present are concentrating on the design of units to effectively incinerate liquid waste. We will shortly focus our attention to the more challenging problem of disposing of solid material of all types contaminated with PCB'a.
