A) On Wednesday (July 28, 1993) Dow's TSCA 8(e) Committee met and reviewed information pertaining to the presence of vinyl chloride monomer in excess of EPA Safe Drinking Water Standards* The information pertaine only to Kansas Rural Water District No. 5 and only to pre 1977 installed pipe with: (1) (2) (3) low water flow rates (low usage or small diameter pipe (less than 2") long dedicated runs (approximately partial year residences) 1 mile from last tee) B) On Thursday (July 29, 1993) PW Pipe submitted a TSCA 8(e) concerning the information available to them from Kansas Rural Water District No. 5. There has been no communication between Dow and PU Pipe on this issue to date although I expect to receive a copy of the filed TSCA 8(e) submission through The Vinyl Institute as it becomes pubLic domain.
