More concretely, our request concerns the topic of refrigerants such as hydroflurocarbons (HFCs), hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) and natural refrigerants which are used in heat pump and air conditioning applications. Viessmann is a leading German/European company in the manufacturing of heating, industrial and refrigeration systems headquartered in Allendorf (Eder), Germany. Viessmann has contributed to the F-Gas Regulation revision process by participating in the stakeholder meeting in May 2021 and submitting input to the public consultation, which ran from September to December 2020. In parallel, Viessmann has also participated in the two Calls for Evidence on the upcoming REACH PFAS restriction - July 2020 and October 2021 -- which also touches upon the issue of f-gases. Moreover, Viessmann submitted confidential information to consultancy 'Exponent' which supported the MSCAs in the collection of additional data from manufacturers of refrigeration and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. On this basis, we would like to present Viessmann's position and our analysis on some of the aspects that will be addressed by these two processes. We would be glad to exchange views with you on the feasibility to transition to suitable and sustainable future-proofalternatives in the heat pump market and discuss ourforward-looking proposals forthe next steps. Since f-gases are impacted by two different regulatory processes, we would like to suggest a joint meeting between Viessmann, the Swedish Environment Protection Agency and KEMI if possi b I e , so both angles (F-Gas Regulation and PFAS Restriction) could be covered in the meeting.
