Bohlman 2i.l4.-i7 Medical Arts Building Cathedral Street at Read Baltimore* Maryland Dear Doctor Bohlman1 I am afraid I shall not be able to give you the data in which you are most interested in relation to the pilots at Wright Field* I do not have the data on the hours, nor do I have them in relation to the type of exhaust pipes,etc, I have had very little opportunity to obtain this information and since the analytical re sults have been so nearly uniform, I have not gpne care fully into this question* As a matter of fact, this work was done in an effort to cooperate with the medical staff at Wright Field, and I have relied chiefly upon their judgment in the selection of men for examination who had the greatest exposure. Their opportunities for judging were better than mine, and consequently I was guided by them* However, there is one point at which I'might set your mind at rest aside from the scientific consideration of the matter, and that is that if the exhaust pip is so arranged that the danger from carbon monoxide is obviated, there Is no possibility for the development of any appreciable danger in relation to lead.
