capcitors. This compound has a dielectric constant (k, )
of 22 and is preferred for use with polypropylene film1
in order that the following ideal relationship may be
approximated.

where k is the dielectric constant and E is the dielectric strength of the solid and liquid materials. It is contemplated that the tolyl xylyl sulfon might be mixed with aroclor type compounds in order to produce a less viscose mixture.
