Bay, Inc. has received the following information from the Gilman Insulation Company, Inc. concerning the asbestos removal for the subject buildings: Wet methods of removal will be utilized. Negative pressure enclo sures and glove bag techniques of abatement will be used. Waste ACM will be wrapped or bagged in 2 layers of 6 mil poly and placed in a demarcated area until completion of the project. Labels on waste containers will be of OSHA/EPA requirements. Browning Ferris Industries will be used for waste transport and disposal (BFI Disposal Site/Sinton, TX). A. TACB must be notified at least 20 days in advance of demolition and the following must be provided: (1) Name and address of owner or operator. (2) Description of the facility being demolished or renovated, including the size, age, and prior use of the facility. (3) Estimate of the approximate amount of friable asbestos material present in the facility in terms of linear feet of pipe, and surface area on other facility components. (4) Location of the facility being demolished or renovated. (5) Scheduled starting and completion dates of demolition or renovation. (6) Nature of planned demolition or renovation and method(s) to be used. (7) Procedures to be used to comply with the EPA requirements. (8) Name and location of the waste disposal site where the friable asbestos waste material will be. deposited. B. The asbestos must be disposed of properly; this means: (1) The material must be wetted to prevent visible emissions while handling, packaging and disposing of asbestos material. (2) After wetting, seal all asbestos containing waste material in leak-tight containers while wet; and (3) Label the containers as follows: Contains Asbestos Avoid Opening or Breaking Container Breathing Asbestos is Hazardous to Your Health 16.58.16 VALERO/MOAKE 66 I will prepare this report for submittal, however, I will need the above mentioned information.
