Dear Mr* Webb
from B of Lea letter New Yo gasoil
I have this m o j ^ h g ^ e ^ l ^ d ^ > l e t t e r from Rile Tegner written hWfetrongest objections to the use beetr caused, in his opinion, by cuum Offices by their people in essery when handling Ethyl Aviation
dvised their representatives thqt
rubber _ _ . ,,
. ... , sollne containing Tetraethyl Lead is
handled, and i N ^ h e r thayjiwrosene should be available to wash the hands in
case any spilj.age^ecu^y' Again employees have been given instructions to
wash carefully witlaTJdap and water before eating food or smoking. Those
instructions have been carefully posted at all drum filling and other depots
where Ethyl gasoline is being continuously handled, and the result is that
the local representatives of the Standard-Vacuum are thoroughly soared, since
they have not been given any sound explanation or reasons for these regulations*
Tegner is discussing the matter.with the local office of the Standard-Vacuum in Hong Kong, but Z think this is another point which it would be wise to discuss with their people in Hew York eo that, if possible, they can rectify the impression which has been built up in the minds of their local companies.
