Subject: Administrator Pruitt Meeting request
Dear Administrator Pruitt:
As President and CEO of Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG), North America's largest producer of advanced biofuel, I respectfully request the opportunity to meet with you and members of your staff to discuss issues important to American biomass-based diesel producers.
Like you, we are eager to restore certainty to regulated industries like our own. REG is a multi-feedstock producer that currently owns and operates 11 active biomass based diesel refineries across the United States with a combined nameplate capacity of 452 million gallons. We can provide you and your team with a unique perspective on the biomass-based diesel industry and the tens of thousands of jobs it supports.
I would like to discuss items within the Renewable Fuel Standard with you including the annual Renewable Volume Obligation, biomass-based diesel imports, and point of obligation.
I appreciate your consideration in advance. Should you have any questions about this request, please feel free to contact me directly at Daniel.Oh@REGI.com or Lindsay Fitzgerald from our Corporate Affairs team at Lindsay.Fitzgerald@REGI.com.
Sincerely, Dan
