Coale, meohanioal superintendent at the EJayrevllle plant of Titanium Pigment division prior to his entry into the Navy in November 1940, rejoined the Company as assistant ohief engineer September 1. His head quarters are in the general offioes in New York City. Mr. Coale began work with Titanium in April 1935 as power plant engineer. HARRIER RETURNS TO PACIFIC COAST BRANCH Lieutenant Commander L. G. Harrier, U8NR, has resumed his duties as adver tising manager of Pacific Coast branoh following his release from the Navy. Ur. Harrier entered the servloe as a Lieutenant (sg) in August 1942. He has been with the Company sinoe June 1953. KIRK MARKS STAR FOR SECOND "E" Por continued meritorious servioes on the produotion front, Morris P. Kirk ic Son, Inc., Los Angeles, on September 1 was awarded a white star to be added to the Army-Navy "1" pennant presented the Kirk Company last April. This latest award is the tenth earned by the National Lead "family* for exoellenoe in the production of war materials. COMPANY CITED POR WAR RESEARCH WORK Among the numerous commendations received by the Company for the part it played in the war program are two recently given by the National Bese&roh Counoil's War Metallurgy Committee -- one, for studies of the lead oo&tlng of steel] the other, for developments in oonneotion with magnesium produotion. MoKUB ROUNDS OUT 35 YEARS WITH COMPANY J. 0. C. MoHair, manager of Atlantio branoh, completed 38 years of service with the Company on Ootober 5. Mr. MoHair joined Atlantio as a salesman and traveled the southern territory of that branoh for several years before his trans fer to the home offioes. In 1917 he was mads assistant to the sales manager of the Atlantio branoh white lead department, and in 1928 was appointed assistant branoh manager. Be beoaae manager January 1, 1939. Collay joined the Reaearoh Laboratories' staff in March 1937 and entered the U8AA? in January 1943. Pvt. John J. Seiml, an employee of the Titanium division's Sayreville plant for five years before he Joined the Army in Hay 1944, was killed in aotion February 11, 1945 on Luson. Pvt. Seiml had Been listed as miBsing until final word was received from the War Department early in September. Company employees who have died in their Country's servioe now total 45.
