'; Dear Mr. V/arren: Thanks for your letter of April 29 enclos ing information concerning a reputed case of lead poi soning at Daytona. Considering the attitude of Mr* Eubanks in the matter, it does not seem to me that it v/ould be either necessary or advisable for any of my staff to go into this question. There is certainly no point in trying to convince Mr. Eubanks, who apparent ly is convinced that any injury he has received has come from the gasoline rather than the Fluid in it. At the same time there is a very doubtful advantage in discussing the matter with the doctor. It may be that the doctor has no fixed opinion in the matter, in which case some discussion with him on the part of one of your men would serve the purpose ju3t as well as any discussion which I might have. If, on the other hand, he has a fixed opinion, no discussion would change his opinion* In the main, we have found this type of discussion rather fruitless.
