According to inforaation obtained* the olainant worked both on the door lino and at the . paint line where the bodies are taken fro* the dryer, ready- far insid# assembly* Onthe door line he used portable buffing. eqoipaant to surface the netal preparatory to painting, the grinding compound need at this part of the plant is enery which contains^ no ailica.. The sanple taken in this area oontained 7 nillion particles of dost per cable foot of air*
dryer and started the* on tbs line for inside assembly, there was no polishing being done* This was inacornsr of the building with windowa on two sides* A large fan was located directly above this area* The sample taken in this area with the windows closed contained 4*9 nillion particles of dost per oubic foot of air* It is the opinion of the writer that there would be practically no free silica in either of these operations*
