restrictiePFAS : Extension request - Chemours response to RPA questionnaire maandag 16 november 2020 08:51:58
Dear
We highly appreciate the contribution from Chemours in the call for evidence and the follow up questionnaires.
Last week, we had a meeting with our colleagues from the other countries and we agreed to give the respective consultants additional time to finalize their reports. This will allow the consultants to extend the deadlines they are using for their contacts with stakeholders. It is now up to RPA to decide which deadline they will use for Chemours (I can imagine that they will keep the general deadline the same to avoid too many late reactions, but use another deadline for big organizations with complex supply chains. So I leave this decision at RPA).
Kind regards,

Dear Mr.
I hope this email finds you well. My colleague,
and | submitted response to
the "Call for Evidence supporting an analysis of restriction options for PFAS" earlier this year on
behalf of The Chemours Company. We have now received an invitation from RPA (working on
behalf of RIVM) to provide additional information for their study on the "manufacture /
production of PFAS substances relevant for use in the European Economic Area". While we
welcome the opportunity to continue to work closely with you and all Member States, we do
have concerns about the extremely short deadlines we are given to complete this questionnaire.
We consider this to be of the utmost importance for our company and industry and we want to
provide high quality input. However, given the breadth of the questionnaire, the complexity of
our supply chain and the current pandemic situation, we do not feel that we have adequate time
to provide the detailed information requested by November 30". We are kindly requesting an
extension of the response deadline to the end of February 2021.

Again, we welcome this opportunity and want to provide you the most complete set of data so that the information can be utilized in the CA's work to draft proposals relying on balanced stakeholder input. We feel this additional time now would possibly circumvent complex data
submissions at a later time.
I will reach out to you early next week so that we can speak about this extension request and | can answer any questions you may have. Please do feel free to reach out to me directly at any
time if you have questions.
Best regards
J
