Orum L. Schwab J. A. Glass L. J. Decker H. C. McRae/File It has been brought to our attention that some Maintenance per sonnel may be using unauthorized parts and equipment on the hydroblast machines. For the two Monsanto-owned hydroblast machines, there are special pipes bought for the guns that are painted yellow. The rigid ,and flexible lances for mole work have special connections for this type of work. Please make sure that no substitutions are made on these machines without first getting prior approval. When it is necessary to rent outside hydroblast equipment, please channel rentals through the Heavy Equipment Foreman when possible, The purpose of this is to make certain that we receive machines in the plant that are of acceptable standards. When using outside rental hydroblast machines, which some have different connections than the Monsanto machines, please try to insure that all personnel use only the equipment supplied by the vendor to be used on their machines. No deviations should be made without your approval after consulting with the Heavy Equip ment Foreman and/or said vendor. If we adhere to these rules, we will eliminate numerous potential hazards while using the hydroblast equipment. H. C. McRae /mj SC 12790 LAM013984
