Perdue, Jr. TML--European Authorities New York New York July 29, i960 When Dr. Kehoe reported to us upon his trip to various European countries in connection with advising the medical authorities of the advent of TML, it was agreed that he would furnish us with a list of.the officials in the various countries and that we would pass this on to our customers for purposes of notification of the commencement of dis tribution of gasoline containing TML. Dr. Kehoe has now furnished me with a list for a number of countries as follows: Belgium (Brussels) Dr, Kisters Deputy Chief Medical Inspector of Factories of Government Labour Office. You will note that in some cases the full name of the doctor Is not available, and for the most part, we do not yet have addresses. However, Dr. Kehoe advises that the local representatives of the oil companies will be able easily to Identify these men and know where they are to be reached. In addition to the above countries, Dr. Kehoe recommends that in the case of Italy, we should advise Associated Ethyl when gasoline containing TML is to . . be distributed so that they may bring the matter to the attention of Dr. E. VIgliani. No official notifi cation is required In Italy, but Dr. Kehoe feels that some advice through Dr. Vigliani would be in order. In France and Switzerland, we are not advised- that the necessary procedures for amendment of regulations have '... been completed. In the United Kingdom, no formal noti fication of official nature is required, but Dr. Kehoe recommends that when distribution in England i3 immi nent, Associated Ethyl should be advised in order that they may take any steps considered advisable. In Venezuela, a permit for the use of TML has been Issued and further official notification would not be required.
