Dear Mr. Adams: I am .inclosing ip this letter checks amonting to a total of $4,342.75 which checks represent part of the total amount pledged for assistance in the carrying out of the lead investigations here. This money is given: for use by Dr. Joseph Aub,for the further prosecution Of the lead problems and the question of Mineral Metabolism arising therefrom. This money should therefore be placed in the Lead Research Fund,as for the past three years, and should be subject *to the , direct heooramendation of Dr, Aub'for the problems above mentioned, the recommendations, of course passing over my desk and being O.K.'ed by, me in.so far as is necessary. I am inclosing a copy of the letter, of transmissal from Dr. Thompson. I do not think, there is anything further to do about those checks.
