Action taken: None - no dust is present at the grinder. .17 (a) If practical, the blower mechanism should be electrically in terlocked with the grinding operations so that in the event that the bag filling and blowing opera ti on has to be inter rupted, the grinding operation will also be stopped. Also, this would prevent grinder operation without proper dust collecting facilities in operation. Action taken: It is impractical without rather elaborate con trols since we do not want to 3hut down the grinder while loaded. This would make restart ing difficult at best. The system currently has a buzzer signal which provides the same protection. ,(b) The operation and efficiency of the dust collection system should be reviewed with attention given to the types of col lector bags in use, their replacement schedule, and the ex tent of which fines emanate from the collector bags. Action taken: The system has been checked and is operating properly. We use the best collector bags available and replace them when necessary.
