SUMMARY A skin irritation study was conducted on six albino rabbits using test material DISPAL 180 ALUMINA Sample No: V30533, hereafter referred to as Vista Dispal 180 Alumina. There was one intact skin test site per animal. Each test site was treated with 500 rag of test material moistened with 0.6 ml of saline. The test sites were occluded for 4 hours. Observations for dermal irritation and defects were made at 1, 24, 48, and 72 hours after the occlusion period. SUMMARY An eye irritation study was conducted on nine albino rabbits using test rial DISPAL 130 ALUMINA Sample No: V3Q53B, hereafter referred to as a Dispal 180 Alumina. Actual undiluted test material {100 mg) was placed into the rnjunctival sac of the right eye of each animal selected for testing. The rested eyes of three of the animals were each washed with room temperature eionized water for 1 minute beginning 30 seconds after treatment. Vista Dispal 180 Alumina was rated as mildly irritating in nonwashed yes and minimally irritating in washed eyes with maximum average irritation cores of 14.2 and 11.0, respectively.
