It has the appearance of sand float finish, differing principally in its capacity to absorb sound. It is fur nished in white and four colors: buff, ecru, ivory and cream. It may be decorated in any color by spravpainting with U. S. Gutta Percha Company's "FIowon-Paste," calcimine or any spraying lacquer, or it may be brush-painted with a special U S G paint. For swimming pools, etc.. Sabinite Acoustical Plaster No. 38 Is furnished in the same colors as standard Sabinite. It must be applied over Oriental Exterior Stucco Dase Coat. The sound absorptive qualities of Sabinite come from myriad tiny tortuous passages that have their beginnings at the surface and lead through to the plaster base coat. Sound entering these passages Is repeatedly reflected and through reflection and fric tion is dissipated in the form of heat. Neither soft ness nor resiliency play any part in this process; neither is a true characteristic of plaster and neither is present in Sabinite. Sabinite Acoustical Plaster is mixed in the mor tar box with water only and applied with ordinary plastering tools. Any mechanic who can do good plastering work can apply it. The absorption of both Sabinites properly ap plied is shown in the table below.
